Ultra Trail St-Michael & Trail Half Marathon 26th September 2020
The Ultra Trail St Michael is a brand new 33 mile Ultra Trail Marathon taking in some awesome routes in our local area.
It is ideal as a first Ultra Trail Marathon but be warned it has a few gnarly ascents.
Starting and finishing in Llanharan it takes in some very different routes than our Red Kite Trail Series with some even tougher elevation.
So who is St Michael? St Michael is the patron Saint of the Airborne Forces and Emergency Services - he is the protector of good over evil and one that you may call on throughout this ultra when you are battling your demons to get through this.
St Michael is celebrated each year throughout many Airborne Forces on 29th September and depending which country you are in in various ways such as fitness competitions and celebrations.
We bring to you our very own celebration -
£5.00 discount to emergency services and Armed Forces personnel (proof of current service required)
Option to stay over in the welfare hall or grounds Friday night before from 17:30hrs - £7.00 that includes showers and a Breakfast roll or porridge. (all proceeds to Welfare Hall - they are self funded)
The routes are fully marked and marshaled although and you will get a waterproof 1.40,000 harvey map for the Ultra with the route marked on it.
